What Make Bluegrass "Work" in today's market? And do you think it is fair that Bluegrass is being labeled as Americana?
  • Guy Leroux

Be back in a week to check it out...

the problem with Bluegrass today is that no one can create the kind of music that Bluegrass was founded on and capture the todays world of music sound. I am a big fan of Bluegrass because i grew up listening to my uncle playing and playing it myself with a few local groups around my area. But it is a dieing blend of music because of the style it represents today. To truly keep bluegrass alive, just cant be done today. No different than folk music today. It just wont work. people just don't have heart like back then to understand how important the traditional music today. I hope I am wrong and i hope one day to prove that i am. I am working on some bluegrass style to kinda break the mold for today's listeners.
